About this role :
The Revenue Accounting Manager will play a key role in our financial operations. Responsibilities will include overseeing the Revenue Accounting functional area, processing and executing financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, reviewing and implementing of new controls, and supporting operational and technical accounting deliverables for our Residential Fire Americas Business Unit (BU). The role will also be responsible for managing and overseeing accounting updates and changes to JD Edwards ERP, delivering key Controllership objectives, and supporting the Mission & Vision of Kidde Global Solutions. This position reports directly to the Controller, Residential Fire Americas.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversees the Revenue Accounting functional area, to include contract review, revenue recognition analysis and application of ASC 606, sales programs reserve management, customer deductions, monitoring of bad-debt reserve and AR aging.
- Executes and delivers monthly and quarterly financial results in accordance with US GAAP and Kidde Global Solutions policies.
- Performs initial key analytics on financial results to confirm accuracy.
- Executes complex accounting activities that include but are not limited to revenue and contra-revenue accounting, JV accounting, Product Trouble Reserves, Bad Debt Reserves and other higher-level general accounting activities as defined by Controllership.
- Oversees and manages third-party shared service activities to ensure timely and accurate monthly deliverables.
- Reviews and tests business unit controls to include initial reporting of issues and failures, with a key focus on action plans and strengthening of the control environment.
- Responsible for account reconciliations and balance sheet reviews.
- Executes financial reporting activities in accordance with US GAAP and Kidde Global Solutions policies.
- Delivers analytical support to the Global Residential Fire Business Unit CFO.
- Performs complex accounting activities / documents and tests business unit controls / oversees third-party shared service activities / manages updates to business unit ERP system.
- Supports Controller, Residential Fire Americas with any operational and technical accounting deliverables, as needed.
- Supports internal and external audits, to ensure compliance and timely completion.
