As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations related to our homebuilding and vertical construction activities within Spyre Homes. This role will play a crucial part in managing accounts payable, bank draws, and financial reporting while ensuring seamless coordination between development and homebuilding operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable Management: Oversee AP processes, ensuring accurate coding, vendor payments, and reconciliations for Spyre Homes projects.
- Bank Draw Administration: Prepare and submit bank draw requests to maintain funding for construction and development projects.
- Financial Reporting: Maintain general ledger accuracy, produce financial reports, and track job cost allocations for homebuilding operations.
- Software Utilization: Utilize Home Front and Sage 300 (CRE) for financial tracking, job costing, and reporting.
- Collaboration: Work closely with LeoTerra's development team, Spyre Homes' construction managers, lenders, and subcontractors.
- Compliance & Controls: Ensure adherence to accounting standards, financial controls, and tax regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficiencies in financial workflows for vertical construction operations.
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in homebuilding.
- Proficiency in Home Front and Sage 300 is required.
- Strong knowledge of bank draw processes and construction loan administration.
- Experience managing accounts payable (AP) for homebuilding projects.
- Familiarity with job costing, WIP schedules, and financial reporting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in for-sale homebuilding operations.
- Knowledge of real estate development financial structures.
