About this role :

Manages a team of intermediate or experienced Account Management professionals. Leads account management activities and ensures operational plans and objectives are met. Responsible for making significant improvements to processes and standards in order to enhance performance of account management team.

Role Responsibilities :

  • Lead the co-op / hardware businesses at Kidde by developing and generating sales promotions and opportunities and recommend GTM strategies with customers.
  • Lead new business development opportunities, pursuing and managing potential new channel partners in both brick and mortar and eCommerce.
  • Attend co-op / hardware dealer meetings, buying group meeting and trade shows (i.e. Orgill, Do-it-Best, Ace Hardware, etc.)
  • Develop the balanced strategy to drive channel competition while defending and improving Kidde ’s overall segment positioning
  • Ensure the establishment and development of professional relationships with account management teams to understand and meet the customers needs within the bounds of contracted scope.
  • Responsible for coordinating the business development activities for account management teams to support the business strategy defined by leadership.
  • Analyzes and reviews bid opportunities, prepares bid responses, participates in negotiating with potential customers and maintains customer relationships to win projects.
  • Proactively identifies potential opportunities with account management teams, discuss their needs, and to explain how these needs could be met by specific products and services in order to create new client base and increase sales.
  • Creates new business proposals for account management teams, identifies value, and addresses resistance in order to develop business.
  • Supports the management team representative on account management teams. Maintain personal long-term customer relationships to influence existing and future opportunities.
  • 25% Travel to customer meetings and industry shows

Basic Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 4 years’ account management experience in retail sales
  • 3 years’ experience of retail sales channel experience, preferably in the Co-op / Hardware Channel
  • 3 years’ experience in creating, managing, and implementing strategic sales plans.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • BA / BS degree w / 4 years’ experience
  • 3 years’ experience of retail sales management experience, preferably in the Co-op / Hardware Channel
  • 3 or more years’ experience in creating, managing, and implementing strategic sales plans.
  • Experience working with and managing rep firms
