These named accounts are highly visible within the organization and will challenge the candidate to use their skills to successfully manage both the customer and internal cross functional partners. Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for delivering established sales targets through strategic planning and execution at named accounts.
- Responsible for developing and implementing monthly sales forecasts and providing monthly business review to National Account Manager in relation to overall plan performance.
- Actively solves sales and business-related challenges including internal and external negotiation to minimize conflict or maximize selling opportunities.
- Develops cross-functional relationships to improve sales and overall customer satisfaction.
- In cooperation with National Account Manager - Develops and Execute Strategy, including but not limited to the following:
- Annual Creation & Negotiation of national account joint investment agreements intended to drive Kidde and Edwards Signaling sales and overall customer growth ahead of market. Programs should align customers marketing/sales focus with Kidde Corporate strategies (EX: Legislation, NPI’s etc.)
- Establish minimum quarterly benchmarks to ensure the success of the accounts.
- Convey significant industry and customer developments to management.
- Engaging with national and regional customer events, attendance at trade shows and taking a leading role in industry network events and Shows
- Driving annual product line review and/or new product selling.
- Be prepared to provide summary of both Strategy and progress in formal form for use by Senior management on forecast demand.
- Manages gross-to-net sales performance to ensure customer investment is in line with planned expense.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5 years’ account management experience
- 3 years of experience in national key account management selling products and services, ideally in a B2B commercial/industrial large ($3-5M ) account(s)
- 3 years of experience creating, managing & implementing strategic sales plans.
- Must be a US Citizen or a Green Card holder
- Customer Relationship Management: Applicant should have ability to work with customers to develop mutually beneficial goals, meet quota, document, communicate & execute sales strategies for the assigned territory.
- Communication: Must possess excellent verbal communication and customer service skills, along with the skill set to present product solutions to customer base.
- Technology: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI)
- Collaboration: Must be able to work in a Direct & Matrixed Team selling environment, as well as influence cross functional teams to achieve goals. Candidate should display strong business and financial acumen.
- Working knowledge of fire and building codes is a plus but not required.
- Industrial MRO and OEM experience is preferred.
- Overnight domestic travel of up to 40% may be required.
