Kiddie Academy of Abingdon, the corporately-owned Academy, has an IMMEDIATE OPPORTUNITY for a patient, flexible and nurturing person to join our team as a Lead Teacher - Infant/Toddler (6-weeks 2-years-old). About this role:
You’ll use your caring attitude, creative nature and excellent communication and collaboration skills in the classroom. Among your responsibilities will be:
- Providing general classroom supervision, which includes the personal care, hygiene and positive guidance for the children.
- Preparing and implementing activities for children that stress physical, social and emotional growth.
- Providing materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate and use, both in learning activities and in active play.
Qualifications
About you:
- 1 year minimum early childhood education work experience
- 45 Hour Infant Toddler and/or 90 Hour Preschool Certifications preferred
- Must meet all requirements stipulated by the state of Maryland and local regulatory agencies
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the workday to at least waist high and pass a medical exam/physical
