Two Year Old Lead Teacher

Kiddie Academy has been a pioneer in education-based child care for forty years, providing families with exceptional care for children aged six weeks to twelve years. Our proprietary Life Essentials curriculum is designed to prepare children for school while fostering a lifelong love of learning.

As a Lead Teacher at Kiddie Academy, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experiences of young learners. Located in a nurturing environment, you will lead classroom activities and ensure that our curriculum is implemented effectively, fostering both academic and personal growth in children.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood standards and the center's philosophy.
• Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment where all children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to explore and learn.
• Guide children through daily routines including meals, toileting/diapering, naps, and transitions.
• Observe, assess, and document each child's growth and developmental milestones.
• Maintain open and professional communication with families, including daily reports, updates, and parent-teacher conferences.
• Supervise assistant teachers and ensure classroom ratios and safety guidelines are met at all times.
• Ensure classroom cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with fellow staff on curriculum planning, events, and problem-solving as needed.

Requirements

• Experience in childcare or preschool settings is essential.
• Strong understanding of child development principles and educational practices.
• Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and staff.
• Ability to create a positive learning environment through effective behavior management.

Nice to Have:

• 45 Hour DCF Training Completion
• CDA Certification
