What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Child Care Teacher position at Kiddie Campus Early Learning Center, LLC?
Kiddie Campus is looking for a flexible and dependable full-time or part-time caregiver to join our fun childcare team.
The caregiver will work in different classrooms (infant, toddler, and preschool) assisting the lead caregivers with learning time, diaper changes, meal times, nap times, outdoor play, light cleaning, etc.
The shifts would vary weekly (example - 6:15am - 1:00pm, 8:00am - 5:00pm, or 11:00am- 6 :00pm) and hours will also vary (anywhere from 10 hours to 30 hours a week). Scheduling is done one week in advance. We will work around college classes, appointments, days off, etc.
Requirements: 17 years or older, TB test no older than 6 months, pass a comprehensive childcare background check, and other company paid required training to be in compliance with licensing regulations before working unsupervised with the children.
Starting pay is $10.33/hour. After training, all required documents are completed, and a 90-day employee evaluation has been done, pay is raised to $11.00. Possible advancement includes to a full-time position.
Kiddie Campus sponsors employees interested in the TEACH scholarship to earn a CDA, Associates, or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood.
Our classrooms are at capacity, so we are unable to accommodate working staff’s children in our childcare facility at this time.
Responsibilities
- Support the lead teachers.
- Provide basic care and caregiving activities.
- Use a wide range of teaching methods (stories, media, indoor or outdoor games, drawing etc.) to enhance the child’s abilities.
- Remain in constant communication with parents and update them on the progress of their child/children.
- Observe children’s interactions and promote positive relationships.
- Collaborate with other colleagues.
- Adhere with teaching standards and safety regulations as established by the official sources.
- Follow licensing guidelines.
- Maintaining classroom and building cleanliness.
- Food prep.
Skills
