Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Scribe to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work closely with physicians in various medical settings, including outpatient clinic and hospital setting. The Medical Scribe will be responsible for accurately documenting patient encounters, ensuring that all relevant information is captured in real-time, which allows healthcare providers to focus on delivering high-quality patient care.
Duties
- Accurately document patient histories, physical examinations, and treatment plans during medical visits.
- Assist physicians by recording patient encounters in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Ensure compliance with coding standards and medical documentation requirements.
- Support medical administrative tasks as needed, including managing patient flow and coordinating with other healthcare staff.
- Familiarity with various specialties such as internal medicine and nephrology is a plus.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Previous experience or knowledge in internal medicine and nephrology preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and coding practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to ensure clear documentation of patient information.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other medical software applications.
- A background in medical administrative support is advantageous but not required.
- Must be able to inhale the fast-paced nature of a hospital setting while providing exceptional support to the healthcare team.
