Kids' Corps, Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic, qualified Family Advocate who wants to make a difference in the lives of young children and families. A passionate individual capable of providing high quality family services.
A family advocate needs to be comfortable engaging with families in a variety of ways. Family advocates must be able to emphasize the home as the child's primary learning environment, empowering parents as their child's first and most important teacher and helping families connect to resources, set and achieve goals.
In order to support family well-being and family engagement in Head Start, Family Advocates develop positive goal oriented relationships with families. This allows them to partner with families to initiate and implement the family partnership process and assist families to establish child development and family life practice goals to foster school readiness and life skills. Family Advocates provide initial enrollment support and direct follow up with families interested in Head Start.

Must have 12 months of experience working in similar position with parents or families.
Starting salary dependent on education:
High School Diploma/GED: $18.66 per hour
CDA or similar certificate: $19.44 per hour
Family Development Credential: $20.10 per hour
Associate Degree: $ 22.01 per hour
Bachelor Degree: $25.24 per hour
Graduate Degree: $28.95 per hour
There is a 10-step wage scale built into this position that occurs annually.
This is a non-exempt position. 90 day introductory period.
We are currently offering a $300 sign-on bonus after completing the 90-day probation period.
There is a leave blackout period for this position from July 15th - September 15th of each year. During this time, no leave longer than 2 days will be approved unless there are exceptional circumstances. This is an in-person position only. Remote work not available.
