Job Summary: As the Event Coordinator, you have the ability to bring our company values below to life and showcase them for the families and the community we serve. Our goal is to do no less than two events annually that support local charities or give back to our community. We would also like to do at least two events annually to create opportunities for staff and families to interact outside of business hours to foster stronger relationships. As this role develops, we may also add in events during the day specifically to enrich the children's days.

Educational Requirements: Education or experience with event coordination, project management and/or similar activities preferred. Ability to manage timelines, deadlines and have an incredible eye for details is a must. Strong communication and problem solving skills will also be needed. Must be comfortable working around children, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass a background check.
Specific Duties: The primary responsibility of this role is working with management to develop a unique, relevant schedule of events each calendar year. This role will then hold the primary responsibility for taking the concept from an idea to completion. This includes laying out timelines, setting deadlines, securing vendors, managing event budgets, doing necessary purchasing, collaborating with other staff as needed and then ensuring that all issues are dealt with promptly through the event.
Required Skills and Abilities: The Event Coordinator must be able to provide solid leadership before and during the event to make sure everyone has the ability to participate with ease. This individual is always looking for ways to bring exciting, innovative events to life and can work well both independently and with others to achieve this. Having the ability to change directions quickly, handle problems optimistically, paying close attention to details and being highly organized will allow this role to be rewarding for the ideal candidate. We will need you to establish and maintain trusting relationships with your supervisor(s) and your colleagues by consistently meeting deadlines and giving your best effort to your work. We also rely on each other to be enthusiastic about the growth of both the children and our center as well as to be reliable in work performance. We are seeking a genuine, motivated professional who wants to help us grow into a center of excellence.
Work Schedule Available: Flexible schedule with some ability to work remotely as long as schedule allows for in person meetings during morning hours as needed and onsite coordination of scheduled events.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
