Educational Coordinator for After School Program and Summer Camp

We are looking for a fun, energetic, compassionate, articulate teacher to be part of our team. Here at Kids ‘R’ Kids Houston Metro we care for infants through kindergarten and after school age children. We have an immediate opening for a lead teacher in our After school program. Lead Teacher will be also responsible for running Summer Camp as well as running the after school program.

Qualifications:

• Prior teaching experience (one or more year's experience working with children in a childcare center) preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must meet all state teacher assistant requirements
• Be flexible and willing to work with in business hours
• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions
• Must be able to proficiently read, write and communicate verbally in English

Requirements:

• Must enjoy working with school age students.
• Must have flexible schedule to work school holidays, Spain break and Summer camp.
• Be punctual and in appropriate attire
• Through consistent supervision, ensure the safety of each child both in classrooms and playgrounds
• Teach and support assistant teachers in meeting the developmentally appropriate needs of children in the classroom
• Provide a positive and nurturing environment for the children
• Maintain the appearance, cleanliness and secure environment of the classroom
• Help children with mealtime and clean up
• Establish and maintain good communication with parents and coworkers
• Be willing to participate in continuing education as required by childcare regulatory agency
• Must maintain current certification in CPR/First Aid training

***Pay Rate depends on prior experience and position. Willing to discuss at the interview.

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
