Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with children during program activities to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
- Assist in planning and implementing educational programs that promote learning through play, arts, sports, and other activities.
- Manage classroom behavior and dynamics effectively to maintain a positive atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Provide first aid as needed and ensure the health and safety of all children in the program.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team environment focused on the children's development.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to childcare, special education, or sports coaching as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in daycare, babysitting, or educational settings is preferred.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to educate and engage children effectively.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures is a plus; certification is preferred but not required.
- Background in theater or sports coaching is advantageous for program enrichment activities.
- Experience or training in special education is beneficial for supporting diverse learning needs.
