Part Time Janitor for Learning Center

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in our school setting, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with a focus on our commercial setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas, ensuring supplies are stocked and facilities are well-kept.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, and waxing as needed to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Assist with custodial duties in our commercial environments, ensuring all surfaces are clean and sanitized.
• Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
• Follow safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with team members to complete cleaning tasks efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in industrial cleaning or custodial services is preferred.
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is a plus.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques for various surfaces including floor care methods such as buffing is essential.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Good physical stamina; ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor as required.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to commercial cleaning practices.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
