Kids' Safari Learning Center is a family-owned and operated learning center that serves Cottage Grove and surrounding communities.
We are seeking a skilled individual to work in our center as a support system for our 4K and Preschool teaching staff. We pride ourselves in providing top-notch care and giving children a safe place to learn and be a kid. We focus on play-based learning and take advantage of learning opportunities throughout the day, utilizing a curriculum that focuses on each child's individual development and promotes healthy social and emotional growth.
Qualifications
- Registry Level 12 or Higher (Associates in ECE field preferred)

- Previous coaching or mentoring experience a plus

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. In addition to the requirements listed below, regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
- Coach and Mentor teachers within the classroom setting focusing on NAC standards, State Standards, and KSLC policies
- Find personalized continuing education opportunities for each team member based on their current skill set, interests, and areas of growth
- Help implement our in-house curriculum within each classroom ensuring plans get completed two weeks ahead and helping teachers find time for curriculum prep
- Support teachers through difficult times such as challenging behaviors or classroom routine difficulties.
- Support new staff in the classroom setting working directly with each new teacher, orienting them to their new classroom and expectations while in the classroom setting
- Work directly with the Leadership Team during teacher reviews, providing feedback from the classroom setting
- Oversee all aspects of classroom management, curriculum, portfolios, and parent/teacher conferences
- Ensure each classroom is held to NAC standards and in compliance with DCF-251
- Conduct monthly observations of each classroom, providing feedback to the Administrator
- Work in conjunction with the Assistant Administrator on classroom environment and needed materials for each classroom
- Substituting in classrooms when assigned. This may be planned or last minute due to staff call-ins.
