Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our childcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing a nurturing, safe, and engaging learning environment for toddlers (ages 18 months to 3 years) in a classroom setting. The Toddler Teacher will create age-appropriate educational activities, foster social and emotional development, and ensure that all children’s individual needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Care and Supervision: Ensure the safety and well-being of toddlers at all times, including monitoring physical and emotional development.
- Lesson Planning & Implementation: Develop and implement creative, developmentally appropriate lesson plans that focus on language, motor skills, cognitive development, and social-emotional growth.
- Interactive Learning: Facilitate activities such as playtime, storytelling, arts and crafts, songs, and games that promote learning and development.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment, with clear rules and structure.
- Parental Communication: Establish and maintain open lines of communication with parents regarding their child’s progress, daily activities, and any concerns or needs.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to ensure consistent educational practices and create a positive, inclusive environment.
- Health & Safety: Follow all health and safety guidelines, including meal times, hygiene routines, and emergency protocols.
- Assessment & Documentation: Observe, document, and assess each child’s progress, developmental milestones, and behavioral changes.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High school diploma required
- Valid Child Development Associate (CDA) or other relevant certifications are a plus.
- Experience:
- Previous experience working with toddlers or in a daycare/preschool setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development and appropriate teaching techniques for toddlers.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication skills (with children and parents).
- Patience, creativity, and flexibility.
- Ability to build strong relationships with children and foster a positive learning environment.
- Certifications: CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain certification).
Work Schedule:
- Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Occasional extended hours may be required for special events or staff meetings.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
