What are the responsibilities and job description for the Floater/Teacher Assistant M-F 11-2 position at KidsCorp West (Decatur)?
Our facility is seeking a "floating" teacher assistant to work with children in our Early Intervention Day Treatment (EIDT) center from 10-2 Monday through Friday. This individual would assist with teacher breaks, recess, snacks , lessons, activities of daily living, etc to insure a smooth flow within the classroom setting.
This is a good fit for someone with a heart for children with needs in the areas of ABA, Developmental Education, Speech, Physical, Occupational therapies or Nursing.
Responsibilities
- Present lessons in a comprehensive manner and use to facilitate learning
- Provide individualized instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning
- Create and distribute educational content (notes, summaries, assignments etc.)
- Maintain an orderly classroom, provide activities of daily living
- Collaborate with other teachers, parents and therapists and participate in scheduled meetings
- Plan and execute educational in-class and outdoor activities and events
- Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars, conferences etc.
