Job SummaryAdmission Specialists are responsible for prompt clinical review of all referrals for residential treatment determining, as part of a committee, clients appropriateness for treatment, and for accessing clients into KidsPeace programs in a timely manner.Job DutiesCoordinate and perform all intake and admissions functions in order to assess clients for new programsInterview, counsel and meet with client, family and referral source to answer questions, gather necessary information and facilitate client’s smooth transition into appropriate treatment unitMaintain accurate records of telephone inquiries for Client Services and Director of Centralized AdmissionsComplete paperwork and record keeping as required by Medical Assistance funding mandatesMarket KidsPeace programs via telephone contacts, campus tours and conferences. Accompany Client Services on marketing calls as neededCollaborate with the Contracts Department to ensure that funding is in place when existing contracts are not establishedAssist in the development of new procedures and policies to streamline admissions tasks and ensure timely admissions and cost-effective service deliveryPerform on call responsibilities to include accepting communication outside working hours and providing coverage on site when requestedQualificationsMinimum of a Bachelor’s degree in appropriate discipline preferredBackground in psychology, social work, and / or counseling and / or a demonstrated understanding of clinical needs of children and adolescents preferredPrior experience in sales and / or marketing beneficialBilingual Spanish / English preferredMust be at least 21 years of ageValid Driver's License required
