PURPOSE OFPOSITION
Responsible for functions as they relate to accounts receivable billing, problem resolution and payment tracking.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Prepares, inputs and monitors accounts receivables.
Investigates delinquent claims and investigates incorrectly paid claims.
Reviews outstanding receivables and submits and/or processes corrections under the Direction of the CBO Manager and/or CBO Policy and Procedures.
Prepares invoices/statements and identifies discrepancies to assist in advocating for families, and effectively keeps Days in Accounts Receivable and Collections Percentage at optimal levels.
Effectively interacts with internal and external customers with regards to billing and related payments and resolution of issues.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no direct reports.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Two-year degree or the equivalent work experience.
2-3 years in an accounts receivable processing environment. Previous experience with Kansas Medicaid billing a plus or Behavioral Health or Autism Billing.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with internal and external customers professionally and effectively.
Strong verbal and written skills.
Excellent recordkeeping skills and the ability to process and record detailed information.
Strong organization and time management skills.
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills including the ability to see the big picture and effectively analyze issues to resolution.
Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
LANGUAGE ABILITY
Ability to read and interpret documents such as Explanation of Benefits, instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to reconcile financial records.
COGNITIVE DEMANDS
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Able to understand abstract concepts.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of industry specific software, industry specific systems and other web-based software programs, Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
