Our center is hiring for a Floater Teacher
As a Kidtown Floater Teacher, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Create a safe, fun, nurturing environment where kiddos can learn and play
- Partner with parents with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children
- Support the center’s success by partnering with center crew members and leadership directors to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement
- Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, and community contacts
- Assist and support the development of creative lessons/activities in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child
- Step into classrooms as needed to cover for absent teachers or to assist
- Assist with the food program and serve meals while following food safety and cleanliness procedures
- Attend required staff meetings, workshops, training and center events
- Follow the ODJFS Childcare Center Rules

For Teachers:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Some ECE training or CDA coursework and at least 2 years experience working with children OR ECE Associate Degree OR CDA with at least 2 years of experience in childcare/demonstrated years of experience working with children
Additional Requirements:
- CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
- Must be physically able to see and hear well enough to keep children safe and engage in play activities with children
- Lifting up to 35 lbs. and bending
- Some knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children
- All center staff applicants must meet state specific guidelines for the role including background checks
- Schedule of Monday-Friday, 9:00am-6:00pm
