Job Summary
The Child Care Center Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the center, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. This leadership role requires a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering the growth and development of both children and staff. The Director will work closely with parents, staff, and the community to promote a positive learning atmosphere. Have strong knowledge in ECECD NM state regulations and maintaining them.
* Must have experience in admin NM PreK
* Bilingual speaking is a must fluent in both spanish and Engllish
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the child care center, including staffing, budgeting, and compliance with state regulations.
- Develop and implement educational programs that meet the developmental needs of children.
- Supervise and mentor teaching staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional growth.
- Establish positive relationships with parents and families, addressing their concerns and promoting engagement in their child's education.
- Conduct regular assessments of children's progress and program effectiveness, making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment by enforcing health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with community organizations to enhance resources available to families and children.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with students in an educational setting is essential.
- Prior experience in higher education teaching or education administration is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with parents, staff, and community members.
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices in child care.
