What are the responsibilities and job description for the Toddler Teacher position at Kidzone Early Learning Center?
Kidzone is a small childcare facility located in Crown Point, IN (Winfield). We strive to maintain a warm, family-like feel within our building, while providing nurturing care & educational fun to our children!
We are looking to hire an experienced Toddler Teacher to add to our childcare center team! The teacher will educate the children while also encouraging & promoting a positive environment. As our Toddler Teacher, you will play an important role in shaping the development & growth of children.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing the provided curriculum & lesson plans & activities for children
- Create a safe and nurturing learning environment
- Supervise children during activities and ensure their safety
- Maintain program site, equipment & supplies
- Adhere to state childcare regulations
Qualifications:
- (Preferred)- CDA, Associates, or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Experience working in a licensed childcare center (1-2 years preferred)
- Willing to complete childcare modules & obtain a health check-up, TB testing & drug screen upon hire (employer paid)
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and educational practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Dependability, patience, flexibility and teamwork skills
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude with the children & staff
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to move about the room in order to work with the children
- Ability to handle stressful situations professionally while multitasking
- Ability to pick up children (up to 40lbs), if needed
