Job Description:
As a Painter Helper at Kiefer Kia, you will support our experienced auto painters in preparing vehicles for paint, maintaining equipment, and assisting with various tasks to ensure smooth operations in the body shop. This is a great entry-level opportunity for those looking to learn the trade of automotive painting while contributing to the success of a fast-paced and high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist body shop painters in preparing vehicles for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and masking.
- Help with the mixing of paint and materials to ensure proper color matching.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by disposing of waste materials, cleaning tools, and washing vehicles.
- Prepare and organize supplies and materials needed for the painting process.
- Assist in maintaining body shop equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals.
- Assist with additional tasks as needed to support the body shop’s operations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Auto Body Technician or in a similar role in the automotive repair industry.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Good attention to detail and quality.
- Knowledge of auto body repair techniques, painting, and refinishing.
