RESPONSIBLITIES
Technical Responsibilities

- Lead and manage survey field crews for a wide variety of projects, including boundary, topographic, ALTA, construction staking, and more.
- Train, mentor, and develop junior surveyors, sharing knowledge of innovative survey techniques.
- Process, analyze, and integrate survey data using advanced software to deliver high-quality results to clients.
- Utilize state-of-the-art survey technology, including laser scanning, drone technology, and cutting-edge GPS systems to gather accurate data.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure timely and accurate project completion.
- Prepare detailed and accurate field notes, sketches, and perform complex calculations.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between survey data and project plans in the field.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE
- 3 years of experience as a Survey Party Chief or in a similar leadership role.
- Proficiency in using advanced survey tools like laser scanners, drones, total stations, GPS, and data collectors.
- Experience with survey data processing software (e.g., Trimble Business Center, Autodesk, etc.) and point cloud data analysis.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- A solid understanding of surveying principles and the ability to apply them in the field.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Survey-related certifications or coursework, particularly in new technologies, is a plus).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND/OR WORKING CONDITIONS
· Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, & walking
· Interacting with technology (computer, cellphone, etc.)
· Ability to lift and/or carry items up to 50 lbs.
· Driving or flying - to offices, jobsites, client meetings, etc.
· Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
