Proactive Engineering Consultants (PROACTIVE) is seeking an experienced Land Surveyor ready to lead a dynamic team in the field.  We are seeking a skilled and motivated Survey Party Chief to oversee survey projects and help shape the future of land development throughout Southern California, with a primary focus on Riverside, Orange, San Bernardino, and Los Angeles Counties. 

Responsibilities:

·        Lead and manage survey crews in the field, ensuring accurate and timely data collection.

·        Perform boundary, topographic, construction, and utility surveys.

·        Coordinate with project managers, Engineers, and other department staff to ensure project success.

·        Review survey data for accuracy and completeness.

·        Operate survey equipment, including total stations, GPS, and levels.

·        Mentor and train junior survey crew members.

Requirements:

·        Minimum of 5 years of experience in land surveying.

·        Proven ability to lead and manage survey crews.

·        Proficiency in using survey equipment and software (e.g. Trimble Access or similar).

·        Strong knowledge of land surveying principles, legal descriptions, and construction staking.

·        Excellent communication and organizational skills.

·        Ability to work in a variety of outdoor conditions.

·        Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
