- Provide subject matter expertise in C-5 landing gear, flight controls and cargo loading
- Provide technical support at Robins AFB
- Analyze technical processes and participates in the development of new and modified maintenance best practices to reduce maintenance burden at both depot and field level
- Conduct Reliability and Maintainability (RAM) analysis in support of Aircraft Availability Improvement Program (AAIP) and Aircraft Availability Solutions Development (AASD) to reduce maintainer burden, standardize fleet wide maintenance practices and improve overall mission readiness
- Respond to routine verbal and written requests for AFTO 107 and 202 support from C-5 Program Office engineering
- Support engineering logistics service tests and field service evaluations of prototype aircraft components and test equipment
- Perform assembly or modification of prototype test equipment
- Perform installation of test equipment for on and off equipment analysis
- Provide support for analysis of and provide recommendations to commodity and organizational technical manuals to include source data changes
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Training:
- Bachelor's Degree in management or other relevant discipline required
- 5 years of professional experience in the required task area
- C-5 Mechanical and Landing Gear System experience preferred
- Must be a US citizen
- Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
- Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms
- Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk
- Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)
