- Provide subject matter expertise in C-5 landing gear, flight controls and cargo loading
- Provide technical support at Robins AFB
- Understand aircraft electrical wiring diagrams, aircraft drawings, Fault Isolation (FI) guides, technical order (TO) and work unit code (WUC) documentation
- Review technical data for accuracy and thoroughness, and provide recommendations for change or improvement
- Provide support for C-5 Technical Assistance Requests including 107's, and 202's
- Provide analysis support to C-5 Configuration Control Board (CCB) and Engineering Requirements Review Board (ERRB)
- Effectively use data systems such as FEDLOG, LIMS-EV, D043, D035, EMALL, HAYSTACK, Teamcenter (JEDMICS)
- Provide support on performing system and component level fault isolation of aircraft electrical and electronics systems using technical data and wiring schematics
- Ability to effectively communicate in writing and verbally to present material and briefings to management and government personnel
- Provide support to either Program Manager or Engineering/Science personnel in the areas of project scheduling, data gathering/analyses, database manipulation or population, preparation of technical/project reports or briefings, test plans and reports, and associated documentation, test or validation/verification assistance
- Perform testing or project events as assigned by Program Manager and report status, results and proposed solutions
- Identify and evaluate alternate solutions for the functional system Electrical Wiring Interconnect System (EWIS) and avionic deficiencies which adversely affect aircraft safety, readiness, and sustainability
- Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) on project events as assigned by Program Manager and report status and results
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Training:
- Bachelor's Degree in management or other relevant discipline required
- 5 years of professional experience in the required task area
- C-5 Weapon System experience required
- Must be a US citizen
- Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
- Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms
- Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk
- Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)
