Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring the effective management of human capital. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing HR functions, implementing policies, and driving process improvements to enhance employee engagement and productivity. This position will work with the Executive Team to help create structure for strategic growth.
Duties
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization.
- Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, and onboarding of new employees.
- Oversee benefits administration, ensuring employees are informed about available options and assisting with enrollment processes.
- Handle workers compensation claims and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Utilize HR software systems such as Paylocity for efficient human resource management and payroll processing.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance HR operations and employee satisfaction.
- Maintain employee records in compliance with legal requirements while ensuring confidentiality.
- Act as a point of contact for employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to staff as needed.
- Monitor professional licensing renewal deadlines and assist with renewal processes and procuring bonds.
- Manage company communications in accordance with leadership.
- Partner with IT Manger to maintain building security and access.
- Coordinate company meetings and corporate events.
- Multiple other duties as assigned.
Experience
- SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification preferred
- 5 years of HR Generalist experience
- Experience with benefits administration and workers compensation processes is preferred.
- 2-3 years HRIS Administration experience
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess data for decision-making purposes.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with employees at all levels.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution within the workplace.
- Dependable, flexible and able to function as part of a team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
