Description:
Assesses and monitors internal control design and effectiveness. Coordinate, document, and manage the Bank’s various risk assessment processes. Assist in the coordination of internal/external risk and audit activities.
Requirements:- Assist the Audit Committee, as necessary, to fulfill their duties according to the Audit Committee Charter and regulations.
- Annually plan and regularly perform internal work to supplement or reduce audit work performed by third parties.
- Own the branch audit process including planning, executing, reporting, and follow up of findings with the appropriate personnel.
- Prepares written reports of internal audit reviews, including findings, analyses, conclusions, and recommended actions.
- Assists in the implementation of new or revised internal audit policies, methods, and procedures.
- Assists other independent auditors and regulatory examiners during audits, as necessary.
- Coordinate the various bank risk assessment processes to ensure timely performance and reporting of results.
- Collaborate with departmental managers and process owners to address control deficiencies and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor compliance with internal policies, procedures, and ethical standards, investigating and addressing violations, as necessary.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of risk management strategies and initiatives in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Coordinate the review, update, and reporting of Bank policies along with senior management to the Board of Directors.
- Assist and backup the Audit Liaison with coordination and reporting of audit activities throughout the Bank.
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
