Description:
Assists and works closely with the Treasury Management (TM) Sales Officer in the sales and support of treasury management solutions to new and existing business customers. This also includes working closely with Commercial Loan Officers to jointly generate and grow profitable business customers, as well as working closely with Deposit Operations staff to assist in product development and support practices.
Requirements:- Supports the TM Sales Officer in all sales efforts by providing exceptional service to internal and external customers of the Bank.
- Involved in the TM sales process from proposal through implementation to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Works with TM Sales Officer to promote TM services to prospects and existing customers to execute on annual individual and department sales goals.
- Prepares or assists TM Sales Officer with the response to RFPs from prospects and customers, including sales proposals, sample statements and presentations/demos.
- Understands the customers’ business processes and TM goals to provide the best solution(s) that fit into their environment.
- Professionally manages complex customer and employee inquiries and maintains confidentiality of customer account information by following established policies and procedures.
- Review Account Analysis Statements monthly to identify cross-selling opportunities.
- Works with TM Sales Officer to educate Commercial Loan Officers of new TM product development initiatives.
- Ensure TM products and services are not given away for free to customers unless the legitimate business reason makes sense for the bank.
- Maintain pipeline of TM prospects either manually or utilizing a software solution.
- Acts as liaison between sales and TM Operations Department.
- Works with customers and TM Operations to ensure they all receive and sign TM Product Agreements in a timely manner.
- Works with TM Operations on the operational capabilities needed to support innovative TM products and services.
- Coordinates the opening of new deposit accounts and TM product setup with Deposit Operations to ensure accuracy and timeliness of setup.
- Works with IT, Core System Team, Deposit Operations, and/or eBanking Departments to obtain various reports as needed and in the development of new or enhanced TM products and services.
- Works with marketing on customer segmentation to ensure the right business customers are prospected for TM services. Group TM customers by industry to understand their business better and offer the right TM products.
- Works with TM Sales Officer in the development of sales and marketing plans and strategies for TM products in coordination with the Bank’s strategic plan.
- Promotes sales through providing product information, and market and industry developments.
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of our products and services as well as those offered by competitors. Works with Marketing department on promoting TM products.
- Provides input on pricing for TM services that are competitive in the marketplace and profitable for the Bank.
- Assists in implementation of marketing campaigns in support of TM products and services.
- Acts as backup for the TM Sales Officer to attend any team meetings that the TM Sales Officer may not be able to attend.
- Updates knowledge and develops professionally on a continuing basis by participating in internal and external training and development opportunities as required.
- Participates in and leads product training for various audiences.
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
