Duties
- May greet and welcome visitors in a professional manner, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate department or personnel.
- Scheduling appointments on doctor schedules.
- Perform insurance verification.
- Collecting copayments for appointments.
- Collecting payments for materials such as contact lens or eye glasses orders.
- Scanning documents as needed
- Perform data entry tasks, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of information.
- Maintain filing systems, both electronic and paper-based, for easy retrieval of documents.
- Faxing incoming and outgoing faxing, distribute documents.
- Faxing referrals
- Provide customer support by addressing client questions and concerns promptly.
- Utilize Outlook teams applications for various administrative tasks.
- Check out patients.
- Posting codes for billing department to process.
