What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Receptionist/Scheduler position at Thompson Medical LLC?
This is an entry level position aimed at a caring and compassionate individual who is interested in helping patients and their families as they navigate through their healthcare experience. The successful candidate for this position will work primarily with internal staff, answering incoming calls and emails and relaying messages to staff members.
- Checking patients in and out at the front desk
- Verifying insurance
- Accepting copays
- Scheduling appointments
- Answering multiple phone lines and booking appointments
- Register patients according to established protocols
- Assist patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation including medical insurance
- Ensure patient information is accurate including billing information
- Maintain and manage patient records
- Obtain external medical reports as required by medical professionals
- Respond and comply to requests for information
- Complete other clerical duties as assigned
- Maintain stock of forms and office supplies
We are looking for a friendly, outgoing and upbeat person to work in our fast-paced family practice office. Qualified applicants will be able to multi-task and have strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently. Must be able to work as a team to provide superior service and care to our patients. Previous medical receptionist experience preferred but not required. Must have reliable transportation.
Medical Terminology preffered and knowledge of EMR a plus
