About Killington Mountain School: KMS is a unique, NEASC-accredited mountain-sport academy located in the heart of Vermont’s Green Mountains. We combine a rigorous college preparatory curriculum with elite training programs, enabling student-athletes in grades 6–12 and post-graduate students to excel academically and athletically. KMS offers year-round programs in Full-Term, Winter-Term, and Boost formats across six athletic disciplines. Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging, student-centered instruction to middle and/or high school students throughout the academic year. Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that fosters collaboration and critical thinking. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners in a small-class setting. Collaborate with faculty, coaches, and staff to integrate academic goals with athletic training schedules. Innovate and refine curriculum to reflect best practices and ensure high academic standards. The Ideal Candidate: KMS seeks an energetic, adaptable, and motivated educator with a passion for inspiring young minds. Qualifications and Skills: Experience teaching middle and/or high school students, with a strong track record of success. Expertise in developing and delivering engaging, student-centered lessons. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on building positive relationships with students and colleagues. A flexible, student-focused approach to teaching, including experience in a blended-learning environment (supporting in-person and traveling students).
