Duration: Summer (2 weeks): July 7-July 18
We are currently seeking highly motivated and qualified individuals to join our team as High School Summer School Teachers. This is a temporary position for the duration of the summer term with student attendance from 8:30-11:30 each day with additional paid planning time available.
Subjects:
- English Language Arts: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English literature, grammar, and writing. They will be responsible for delivering engaging and interactive lessons, facilitating discussions, and assessing student progress.
- Science: We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate science teacher to lead classes in various scientific disciplines. The candidate should be well-versed in biology, chemistry, and physics, and capable of delivering hands-on experiments and demonstrations.
- Social Studies: The successful candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of history, geography, and civics. They will guide students through discussions on important social and political issues, promote critical thinking, and facilitate projects related to the subject matter.
- Math: Seeking a skilled math teacher with expertise across various levels. Responsibilities include designing engaging lessons, fostering a supportive environment, and assessing student progress effectively.
- Develop and deliver effective lesson plans that align with the curriculum and standards for the respective subject.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student engagement and active participation.
