Role Summary:
The Paralegal will provide assistance to Kiln’s Executive Team, Growth team, and external attorneys on legal matters across the business, ranging from IP and HR-related issues, investor and Board documents, contracts, and real estate transactions. Demonstrates professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple priorities and work in an organized, efficient manner at any given time.

Major Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing contracts, including property management or investment agreements, consulting agreements, etc.
- Assisting with Board and investor-related documents
- Obtaining, preparing and/or filing various registrations, federal and state annual reports, certificates, statements, amendments, and other documents/forms
- Assisting with human resources compliance documentation, such as employee handbook and various HR policies
- Handling membership agreement redlines
- Supporting the real estate transaction process, including preparing and tracking closing checklists and transactional documentation from letter of intent through completion of closing docs
- Coordinating with external attorneys and partners on various matters including IP protections, HR/Workers Comp, real estate transactions, etc.
This position requires a professional, organized self-starter with the ability to interact with internal team members, external partners, and clients at all levels in a fast-paced, startup company environment. A proactive work ethic, the ability to anticipate issues, and attention to detail are a must.
Ideal Experience and Skills:
- Paralegal certification
- 5-10 years of experience in a paralegal or similar role
- Experience with commercial real estate law
- Strong experience working in a fast-paced environment, preferably in a growing company where processes and disciplines need to be designed and implemented
Salary : $27 - $32
