Vehicle Maintenance Mechanic
Purpose: As a vehicle maintenance mechanic you will be an on-site mechanic for Kimbel's fleet trucks and trailers. This is a safety-sensitive position.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems
- Perform basic mechanic duties, which include but are not limited to: oil changes, rotating and replacing tires, replacing batteries and light bulbs, trailer repair, etc.
- Perform repairs & maintenance in a safe manner
- Ensure vehicles are in safe operating condition
- Pick up and drop off vehicles for repair or warranty work
- Travel to other Kimbel locations to assist with maintenance as needed.
Qualifications:
- Basic computer knowledge and skills
- Possess basic mechanic tools
- High level of mechanical aptitude
- Welding experience preferred
- Ability to pull and back a trailer, or be willing to learn
- Effective communication with internal employees, external vendors, and suppliers
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Attention to detail
- Strong work ethic displayed daily
- Ability to multitask
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
