Job Title: IT Intern

Job Summary: As an I.T. Intern at Kimberbell, you'll play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining web applications and I.T. infrastructure to support the company's digital presence and operations. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, architect solutions, and implement cutting-edge technologies to enhance user experience and streamline processes. Additionally, you will contribute to troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, managing website operations, and staying abreast of industry trends to continually improve Kimberbell's digital ecosystem.

Position Type

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Works with employees to install software, printers, and general technology needs
• Applies knowledge of computer software, hardware, and procedures to solve problems
• Collaborates with systems administrators to explain errors and/or recommend modifications to systems and networks
• Assists with the development, maintenance, and backend management of eCommerce websites
• Maintain well-documented processes, instructions, and code
• Maintains knowledge of technology innovations and trends
• Performs other related duties as assigned
  
  

Education And/or Work Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience required
• Technical skills and experience including but not limited to JavaScript and PHP / SQL
• Understanding of object oriented infrastructure
• At least one year of related experience is required
• Knowledge of NetSuite (on-job training available)
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

You could then dive into coding tasks and backend optimizations to improve functionality. Throughout the day, you'll collaborate with colleagues, participating in meetings to discuss project progress or brainstorm solutions for upcoming features. You might also spend time researching new technologies, troubleshooting bugs reported by users, or conducting quality assurance tests to ensure smooth functionality across various devices and browsers.
