Key Responsibilities :
- Provide leadership and supervision to food service staff at various correctional facilities, ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Conduct regular visits and inspections to assess the performance of kitchen operations, including food preparation, meal service, sanitation, and safety practices.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on food safety protocols, cooking techniques, and operational procedures, ensuring consistency and adherence to quality standards.
- Coordinate with central management and facility administrators to ensure proper staffing levels, inventory management, and budgetary compliance.
- Monitor inventory levels and procurement processes, providing guidance on ordering, receiving, and storing food supplies to minimize waste and ensure availability.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to food production, inventory management, staffing, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Serve as a liaison between facility staff, central management, and external stakeholders to facilitate communication and address any operational challenges or opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure that all food service activities comply with security protocols, including proper handling of utensils, equipment, and supplies, to prevent unauthorized access or potential security risks.
