Overview
Kimley-Horn is looking for a Human Resources (HR) Generalist to join our Raleigh, North Carolina (NC) office on our HR team! This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional support to all internal partners and clients; respond promptly to questions and take ownership of follow up
- Support HR Assistant with the onboarding process for new hires as needed, including communication, initiating pre-employment paperwork, background checks, and coordination of drug screens
- Lead new hire orientations and associated integration activities to ensure a positive onboarding experience
- Participate in and support special projects that have impact across the region and organization
- Provide primary support for the annual and semi-annual performance review processes across the region
- Partner and support the Benefits team with maternity & paternity leave
- Conduct regular check-ins with employees
- Process employee updates in the HRIS system, including but not limited to changes with job / role FLSA status, supervisor work schedule, and termination information
- Perform regular audits of HRIS system, in collaboration with HR Assistant(s), to ensure accuracy of employee information
- Collaborate with HR Partner(s) to conduct and communicate termination process to supervisors and departing employees, including departure paperwork, exit interviews, and updates to employee file within HRIS
- Lead trainings in collaboration with HR Manager
- Collaborate with HR Manager on general employee relations concerns, performance management, team building, complaint / conflict resolution, career development, and training facilitation
- Analyze data and provide recommendations to improve processes, employee engagement, and policy alignment across the region.
