The Greer Group is hiring an HR Generalist for our client located in Louisburg, NC!
This is a Direct hire opportunity.
Monday-Friday (8:00am-5:00pm)
Pay: $40,000-$50,000 (Depending on experience).
The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting day-to-day HR operations in a manufacturing environment, ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws while fostering a positive workplace culture. This role involves employee relations, benefits administration, recruitment, onboarding, training, and HR compliance. The HR Generalist will serve as a key resource for employees and managers, providing guidance and support to drive engagement and performance.
Recruiting
- Successfully filtering through candidates and scheduling interviews.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and coordinate recruitment efforts.
- Post job openings, screen applicants, schedule interviews, and participate in the selection process.
- Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.
- More heavy on recruiting. Ok with training to them.
Admin task
- Track and analyze HR metrics, such as turnover, retention, and absenteeism.
- Prepare reports and provide insights to management on workforce trends and HR initiatives.
- Work with the EHS team to ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations.
- Assist in coordinating workers’ compensation claims and return-to-work programs.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns and provide guidance on policies and procedures.
- Support a positive work environment by addressing employee relations matters promptly and professionally.
- Help safety team with paperwork Some experience with EHS.
- Assist in HR audits and ensure company policies align with current employment laws.
- Ability to manage change and implement effective HR strategies
- Proficient in data entry and research data collection techniques
Requirements:
- HS GED.
- 3-5 years experience in manufacturing/industrial plant
- Strong understanding of employment laws and HR practices.
- Must pass a background check and drug test.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate in a fast paced environment
- Ability to walk the production floor and engage with employees.
- May require occasional travel or company meetings.
