About the Position

The company is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead the efforts in identifying new business opportunities, developing client relationships, and driving strategic growth. This is a senior-level position responsible for creating and executing business development strategies that will expand the footprint in key sectors, particularly in manufacturing and distribution. The Director of Business Development will play a critical role in shaping the company’s future by leading sales initiatives, establishing strategic partnerships, and enhancing the company's market presence.

In this role, you will work closely with senior leadership to drive company growth, identify market trends, and build long-lasting relationships with potential clients, partners, and stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in a growing and dynamic company.

Responsibilities

  • Business Strategy : Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies aimed at expanding the company's presence in the manufacturing and distribution sectors.
  • Client Relationships : Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, key decision-makers, and industry leaders.
  • Sales Leadership : Lead the sales process for new business, from identifying leads to negotiating and securing contracts.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with senior leadership, project managers, and other departments to ensure alignment on business development strategies and project delivery.
  • Networking & Branding : Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to increase brand awareness and develop new business opportunities.
  • Proposal Management : Oversee the preparation of proposals, presentations, and bids, ensuring alignment with client needs and company capabilities.

Requirements

  • Experience : Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, with a focus on the construction industry. Experience working with manufacturing and distribution sectors is strongly preferred.
  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Skills :
  • Proven track record of success in business development and sales leadership, particularly in manufacturing or distribution sectors.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry and market trends, specifically in the manufacturing and distribution space.
  • Other : High level of initiative, leadership capabilities, and a results-driven mindset.
