What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Coordinator/Assistant Project Manager position at Kimo Constructors?
Kimo Constructors, Inc is looking for a candidate for the Project Coordinator or Assistant Project Manager position. This role would work closely and collaborate with all levels of the company including but not limited to Project Managers, Project Supervisors, General Superintendent, Estimators, Accounting, etc. to support existing projects and assist on estimates for new bids.
Project Coordinator duties would include:
- Coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers for submittals and Certificates of Compliance documentation.
- Preparing and tracking subcontract documents for onboarding subs onto new projects.
- Performing quantity takeoffs from plans for estimating and ordering.
- Reaching out to subcontractors and suppliers to get quotes on new project bids.
- Delivering bids (for in-person bids only).
Additional duties for Assistant PM role:
- Ordering materials.
- Drafting RFIs.
- Updating monthly progress schedules (P6 software).
- Coordinating with project owners/clients as needed.
- Attending project progress meetings.
- Visiting sites to check on progress of work and resolve field issues.
- Preparing work packages as needed for complex field work.
- Attending pre-bid conferences and job walks.
- Preparing change order estimates and new project estimates.
Qualifications and Pre-Requisites for Project Coordinator role:
- 4-year engineering, construction management or related degree OR 4 years of relevant experience OR combination of education and experience.
- Experience with computer programs including Word, Excel, Adobe (or Bluebeam), Microsoft Teams or other video conferencing software.
Additional Qualifications for Assistant PM role:
- 4 additional years of relevant experience.
- Experience with additional computer programs including P6 scheduling software, HeavyBid or other estimating software.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
