What are the responsibilities and job description for the Class Instructor – Adult and Youth position at Kin Fitness?
Kin Fitness is a different kind of fitness studio, focused on fitness for the whole family! Our unique family-owned and operated studio is currently looking for a personal trainer to help provide 1:1 personal training, small group training, youth athlete training, and to lead adult classes. We will also train you to lead our unique family, kid, and teen programs – making fitness fun for all ages! Responsibilities
- Conduct fitness assessments and consultations
- Develop safe and effective personalized exercise programs based on clients' needs and goals
- Instruct and demonstrate proper exercise techniques to clients
- Educate clients so that they are motivated and supported through their training
- Maintain a clean and organized workout environment to maintain a safe space
- Demonstrate enthusiasm and positive attitude to help foster a welcoming and encouraging environment
- Provide outstanding customer service, creating fun and memorable experiences for clients and families to promote long lasting relationships
- Learn/train on our unique Kid & Teen Programs for children ranging from 2.5 to 18-years old
- Lead fun, high-energy classes while teaching children important physical, cognitive, and emotional skills
- Represent yourself and the organization professionally, through your appearance, language, and behavior
- May lead sessions beyond classes including birthday parties, Kids’ Nights Out, and special programs
Skills/Qualifications
- National Certification (required)
- CPR/AED and First Aid Certification
- One year of personal training and program design experience
- Experience running/leading a fitness class
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire clients to achieve their fitness goals
- Ability to adapt exercises for clients with different fitness levels or limitations
- High energy personality with a positive attitude
- Experience & enjoyment in working with children, including preschoolers
- Background in child development, physical education and/or dance, cheer, sports, martial arts or gymnastics is a plus
- Childrens fitness certification a plus
- Willingness & desire to learn and grow personally as well as actively be a part of a growing small business
- Open to flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends
- Willing to go through background check/CORI process
