What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Coordinator position at Kind Keeper Non Profit Animal Rescue?
Job description
Purpose: Event Specialist position is needed to secure, coordinate, and execute all aspects of adoption events and fundraising events.
Events are defined as:
- Adoption & Fundraising Events -Bring adoptable dogs and/or cats to local businesses and promote adoptions. Successfully plan and execute fund raising for different annual events.
Activities that happen at ALL events:
- Marketing for Kind Keeper Animal Rescue via signs, flyers, business cards, animal photos, etc. Also, generic fundraising via money jar
- Solicitation/sign up for new volunteers (have information available on what types of activities volunteers can help us with, have volunteer application, gather important follow up information and note any specific skills and/or concerns regarding the applicant.
Duties for all events:
- Contact the appropriate business owner, festival organizer, or other key person to solicit and secure the event. This includes a specific date, time, location, and details of the event (adoption, fundraising, festival, etc.)
- Share the Event in Kind Keeper Social Media Sites, send invites
- Secure volunteer staffing for the event via Facebook, phone calls, email or other personal contact'
