Assist gas pipelines operations with structure survey for class location and high consequence area determination. This job includes performing limited pipeline patrolling, conducting population density reviews and identification structure(s) in proximity to Company natural gas pipelines.

Assist gas pipelines operations with structure survey for class location and high consequence area determination. This job includes performing limited pipeline patrolling, conducting population density reviews and identification structure(s) in proximity to Company natural gas pipelines.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Performing pipeline patrols for population density surveys per Company procedures.
- Capture coordinates of structures within designated areas of Kinder Morgan Pipelines.
- Gather information of such structures by interviewing or contacting a representative of that structure.
- Calculate and examine distances from pipeline to structures within the designated area, using a Range finder and GPS to Geo tag measurements.
- Conduct annual review of High Consequence Areas and make structure type and occupancy count changes to any structure within a designated High Consequence Area in Company based software.
- Patrol areas with recent or ongoing construction and add any new structures into the GIS system.
- Gather and update information for structures that are vacant within designated High Consequence Area.
- Represent the Company during contacts with landowner/tenants regarding structure details.
- Perform mapping, record keeping, and data entry duties per Company policies.
- Complete all applicable documentation and record keeping.
- Perform all work in compliance with Company standards and procedures.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalency of.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and meet company insurability requirements.
- Knowledge of mapping software and GIS mapping systems.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, various operating systems, and ability to learn company software).
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with a team, take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
