- Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn while following coronavirus health and safety measures and more.
- Partner and communicate with parents, with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children.
- Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners.

The Assistant Teacher supports the Teachers and the Director by helping to create a caring and safe environment for the children and assisting in activities to improve the overall care and quality of education. S / he must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment. Assisting the staff in implementing a quality educational program and in developing positive relationships with the children and their parents, the assistant teacher observes and documents children's interest and progress, and relays that information back to parents and staff. Assistant teachers are responsible for implementing developmentally appropriate activities based on children's interests and needs under the direction of the Teacher and the Director.

Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and handle multiple situations effectivelyMeet state specific qualifications for the role or willingness to obtainCPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtainPhysically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoorsAble to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with childrenRead, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in EnglishDuties
Assist in the implementation of curricula activities and encourage participation by children.Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, order, and availability of classroom materials.Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions and progress reports.Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.Help ensure smooth, daily transition from home to child care center.Follow all center policies and state regulations.Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.Required Skills and Experience :

Must earn a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential by December 2019High energy.Ability to work well with others.Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.A strong understanding of child development.Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Infant / child CPR and First Aid certification.Must clear full background check.Must pass health screening.Nice To Haves
