Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. The Child Care Teacher will work closely with children to support their social, emotional, and educational growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development in accordance with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and discovery.
- Monitor children's progress and provide feedback to parents regarding their development.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to address challenges and promote positive interactions among children.
- Provide first aid when necessary and ensure the health and safety of all children in your care.
- Collaborate with other educators, caregivers, and specialists to support the needs of all students, including those requiring special education services.
- Maintain accurate records of children's activities, attendance, and developmental milestones.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
Qualifications
- A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early education.
- Strong skills in behavior management techniques to foster positive learning environments.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is a plus.
- Experience in special education or caregiving roles such as nannying or preschool teaching is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A genuine passion for working with children and contributing to their growth and development.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
