Job Summary
The Assistant Director of Patient Care Services (ADPCS) plays a key leadership role in ensuring the quality, compliance, and efficiency of patient care services. This position supports the Director of Patient Care Services (DPCS) in managing clinical operations, supervising nursing staff, and ensuring adherence to federal, state, and agency regulations. The ideal candidate is a dedicated and detail-oriented healthcare professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for home health care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing daily clinical operations to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Supervise, mentor, and support nursing and clinical staff.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and home health regulations, including Medicare/Medicaid guidelines.
- Participate in developing and implementing patient care policies and procedures.
- Monitor patient care services, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to care plans.
- Assist with staff education, training, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Assist with audits, accreditation processes, and compliance assessments.
- Support the Director of Patient Care Services with administrative and leadership duties as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Ca (required).
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of home health nursing experience (required).
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a leadership, supervisory, or management role(required).
- Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and home health regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $65.00 - $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 30 per week
