Worship Leader

KINDRED CHURCH WORSHIP SUPPORT

Reports to: Worship Leader

Provides oversight to: Kindred worship volunteers

Classification: Contract

This role supports the mission of Kindred Church by creating an environment for people

to safely and sincerely discern, engage, and respond to the work of the Spirit in their

life. Their role uniquely supports our current Worship Leader and contributes to the

communal rhythm of praise, gratitude, reflection, and response.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Exhibits a passion for music

• Demonstrated experience leading a congregation in worship

• Demonstrated ability and passion for building teams of musicians and cultivating

a culture of collaboration

• Proficient with Planning Center and ProPresenter

• Proficient with tools like Ableton Live, Logic Pro X, or DAW

• Strong interpersonal skills – empathetic, focuses on conflict resolution, maintains

confidentiality, high emotional intelligence, practices healthy boundaries

• Team player – seeks feedback, contributes to positive morale, puts success of

the team above their own interests

• Strong time management skills – balances individual and team responsibilities,

shows initiative, and thrives under flexibility

EXPECTATIONS:

• Submits their life to God and models a commitment to developing maturity and

the character of Christ

• Able to articulate a theology of worship and philosophy of worship ministry

• Supports and embraces the mission and vision of Kindred Church expressed in

our mantras and values

• Fully participate in the life and community of Kindred Church

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan and execute all worship elements of Kindred’s weekly service - building set

lists, posting resources, building sessions, communicating with and scheduling

volunteers, leading band rehearsal, leading communal worship part of Sunday

services

• Develop and cultivate a healthy worship culture of response, engagement, and

authenticity

• Recruit, train, and develop worship volunteers musically and spiritually

• Schedule worship volunteers

• Manage worship ministry budget

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 8 per week
