Job Summary:
- Responsible for electrical construction, alterations, services and repair on hospital lights, power systems, electrical appliances and equipment
Qualifications
Education:
- Completion of four (4) years of High School/GED. Post Secondary or vocational training in electricity.
Experience:
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in electrical work or equivalent knowledge to have or obtain a journeyman's electricians license.
- Must have a valid Tennessee Drivers License
Skills:
- Must have thorough knowledge of electrical theory, wiring, calculations, and local and national electric codes.
- State and building codes and J.C.A.H.O CODES AND REGULATIONS.
- Read and understand wiring diagrams, operating instructions and blueprints. Some computer training desirable.
Essential Functions
- Test and maintain emergency generator
- Inspect and repairs transformers, motors and motor control circuitry
- Perform all electricians duties at all facilities with the LIVINGSTON Regional Health System
- Performs all other related duties as required or requested by Director of Plant Operations
- Maintains and repairs all rooftop exhaust ventilation systems
- Performs inspections to ensure compliance with the National Electric Code
- Performs a variety of routine maintenance duties as required or workload dictates
- Maintenance repairs and coordination of all service to patient bed, stretchers, and carts
- Assists all others in department as needed
- Required to be in the on-call rotation
