What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hydrovac Business Development Manager position at Kinetic Energy Services, LLC?
Role: The BD Manager is responsible for developing new business opportunities, and maintaining current customer relations in the Rocky Mountain Region.
Expectations:
- The BD Rep will be directly responsible for driving profitable utilization for 15 to 20 Hydrovac units, and hitting monthly revenue targets.
Ø Responsible for creating and driving growth opportunities.
Ø Selling work for Kinetic's ancillary divisions such as Utility Locating Traffic Control Services, Line Jetting, and CCTV.
Ø Seek out new clients, and work with KES Estimating and Operations to provide any pricing requested.
Ø Attending networking events such as local, regional, and even national conferences, activities, meetings, or seminars.
Ø Setting up meetings with potential, or current, Kinetic customers.
Ø Visiting job sites to connect with new clients to better understand the potential for hydrovac needs, and assess how KES can meet those needs and expectations for future growth.
Ø Visit jobsites or Headquarters of existing clients to show appreciation, and gain feedback of how KES can improve, or provide better services.
Ø Be active in any existing organizations such as NUCA, AGC, or NASTT to demonstrate an involvement in the particular chapter.
Ø Seek out involvement in other pertinent organizations which will be a direct benefit to KES, or generate revenue by gaining that involvement.
Ø Determine the need and method by which KES will benefit from various marketing campaigns, understanding the costs associated, and payback expected from each method.
Ø Keep social media posts active with professional content displaying Kinetics services, involvement, tasks / projects, safety, successes and achievements.
Ø Track all activities (leads, opportunities, quotes lost / won, revenue generated)
Position Requirements:
Ø Minimum 2 years BD/Sales experience in the Hydrovac field is preferred; Otherwise a minimum of 2 years of Sales / BD / Estimating within a similar field is required.
Ø Relevant industry experience in sales and business development with strong knowledge base in civil infrastructure and utilities is required.
Ø Must be familiar with the industry markets in Front Range, Colorado
o Civil Construction, Design & Engineering, Oil and Gas, Pipeline Construction, Rail
Ø Must be a go-getter; Must be able to manage your own day-to-day and weekly schedule.
Ø Position will report directly to the Director of Business Development and/or Operations Manager.
